When you wake, what do you see?
The glory of light that has broken the night
But only with opened eyes
The beauty of life that has rested the strife
But only with faith that cries
That there’s One
One greater than all my fears
One that’s been faithful through all the years
One that’s better than my best adhere-ance
To the rules – oh the rules – the blessed rules
The rules that guide – that lead to life
Which lights the way while it’s yet night
Which I’ve snuffed out through my countless tries
I’m not good enough
I’m not smart enough
I’m not clean enough
I’m not tall enough – to reach You where You are
Consumed by desperation
Deserving of eternal damnation
Free to drink yet dying of dehydration
Air to breath yet gasping in suffocation
So You came down
Took the curse
Became the curse
Cursed the curse
So it has no power…over me
Let me ask You…
When You wake, what do You see?
Jesus, You woke!!!...so I CAN see
That You are everything. I. Need.
