Basil Garlic Butter Salmon

- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic (~2 cloves)
- 4 6 ounce skinless salmon fillets
- 6 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Sprinkle both sides of salmon with salt, garlic powder, basil, and pepper.
Heat oil in large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon, presentation side (curved side) down, and cook for 3 minutes until golden.
Flip salmon and cook the other side for 1 minutes. THEN put the butter in.
Once butter is melted, add garlic and immediately start spooning/basting the melted butter continuously over the salmon for 1 1/2 minutes.
Once the salmon is cooked (~122°F) remove salmon and place on plate. Rest for 3 minutes.
Add lemon juice to the butter that is still in the pan. Spoon butter/lemon/garlic mixture over salmon.
Serve and enjoy!
